Costume created for Eagle's Earth Day as a part of my Environmental Art class. The costume is titled "Amazon Warrior", a play on words because the ensemble is inspired by Wonder Woman, but is a social commentary on consumerism. The bodice is comprised of spent, discarded gift cards that have been individually cut into scales and tacked onto a base made out of a thrifted curtain and bed sheet. The back is laced up using soda-can tabs. The skirt is a curtain, the leather is an old VCR cover, the belt and the shoes were all thrifted. The greaves and arm braces are foam and elastic.
